The Islamic Trade Alliance is made up of Islamic nations and former OPEC members including Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Jordan. Technically all follow the tenets of Islam as their law, but this powerful alliance is about trade and money. With oil still well in demand for the plastics industry and for some low-tech nations on Earth, the Alliance is a force to be reckoned with throughout the System. The ITA along with the PRC do not accept AI or Neo-Sentients as anything other than property or pets, but the ITA takes it a step further, saying that Uploaded are Djinn, not remnants of people, have no soul and therefore no rights. Djinn are not to be trusted, even though rumor has it that many of their own leaders may actually BE Djinn.
