The mother of Humanity in all of its forms, Earth is still where the majority of people are born, live and die. Though all of the major governments have the majority role in the events on Earth, there are plenty of smaller nations and other powerful entities such as corporations, that have their own influence as well.

With the exodus to the rest of the System, overpopulation has become less of an issue, and with medical technology advancing so far, disease is far less of a problem than it has ever been. People are leaving Earth at nearly the rate new births are happening. This is in no small part due to population controls in nearly every nation on the planet. Part of the standard panimmunity treatment renders one sterile until a counteragent is administered that allows fertility for about a year.

Earth is where most of the System’s wealth comes from as well, so even though it is beginning to be passé’ to be totally Earthbound, there is still a lot of money in it.
