The main mining stations for the ITA are in and among the rings of Saturn. The ITA also dumps a lot of its refuse in the rings after incinerating it. Almost every government has contracted with the ITA at some time to dump hazardous materials in the rings of Saturn. Recently a trend for independent traders to fly out to the Rings to search their fortune (something that rarely gains more than a merely comfortable living) has developed. As long as you’ve paid for your salvage and mining licenses, the ITA will let most anyone stake a claim, though they reserve the right to “reassign” your claim. This usually happens when an independent finds an especially good commodity. Somehow, that good claim suddenly becomes an ITA government site.
